That’s why we are thrilled to announce the newest member of the Pepper, Johnstone & Company team: Bobby Allen.
An Experienced Risk Manager With Local Roots
Bobby Allen’s career blossomed right here in Alabama. Since graduating from Auburn University in 2013 with a B.S. in Finance, Bobby has built a solid foundation for a career in the insurance business. Over the past several years, Bobby has moved through the ranks of State Farm, ALFA, and most recently, Allstate. Now, Bobby is set to combine his local roots with a wealth of experience in the insurance business with a nationally recognized, independent insurance brokerage.
From Four Stars To Finance
Bobby caught the bug for risk-analysis in the first days of his career as a Supervisor of Logistics for Four Star Printing where he helped optimize routing logistics, inventory management, and receivables. The position taught him how to quickly understand the operational side of a company and to then identify areas for operational efficiencies and cost management.
This experience paid dividends moving forward. Bobby continued building his skills as an analyst as he moved into finance. Along with managing inflows, Bobby began making executive decisions involving liquidity and credit as a Financial Associate at Lynch Chevrolet & Cadillac.
Bobby furthered his career in financial analysis and risk management when he landed his first position with an insurance company. In 2013, he started with State farm, working in financial acquisitions. Having begun his career in the throes of The Great Recession, Bobby had worked his way up the ranks of the financial industry in four short years. Whether he knew it or not, this would mark his transition from financial analyst to insurance risk manager.
Bobby’s Big Start In The Insurance Field
Perhaps it made perfect sense. With years of experience managing risk in the field of finance, Bobby had developed a penchant for managing risk in the field of insurance.
It started with his first position at an insurance company. Still working as a Financial Risk Analyst, Bobby worked two years at State Farm, gaining crucial exposure to the insurance business. By 2017, Bobby had spent over four years working as an Insurance Risk Analyst, leveraging skills he’d picked up early in his career to move up to a managerial position.
Joining The Pepper, Johnstone & Company Team
Since his college days at Auburn and through to his hiring here at Pepper, Johnstone & Company, Bobby has remained right here in the state of Alabama. Along with his experience, he brings to the team a vast network of relationships that he will continue to nurture. Harnessing the power of Pepper, Johnstone & Company’s holistic approach as a local independent insurance provider, Bobby is sure to bring countless families and businesses alike a great measure of relief through our comprehensive insurance coverage.
In his last position as a risk analyst, Bobby helped manage over $3 million in insurance premiums. More than just a large dollar amount, this represents a huge responsibility to the individuals and businesses who own and pay premiums on these policies. The high-wire act that balances composure and care for the client can’t be found in any risk manager—just one of many reasons why we’re proud to have Bobby on as a new member of the team.
Not many insurance advisors come equipped with this level of skill, experience, and familiarity with the community here in the Athens, Madison, and Huntsville areas.
